Going over isn't a red screen.

The paying-back screen with sample figures, payday Friday, October 16. Last time ran $504.00 over. It's not gone, and it's not a category. It comes out of this payday unless you say otherwise. To spend each day: $63.09 with no catch-up; $27.09 paying it all now. Spread it over: All of it now, done today, $27.09 a day; 2 paydays, $252.00 from each, done October 30, $45.09 a day; 3 paydays, selected, $168.00 from each, done November 13, $51.09 a day; 4 paydays, $126.00 from each, done November 27, $54.09 a day. Overspending never sends you a notification. If you go over before payday, the amount doesn't get lost in a catch-all. It gets a name and a date, and you choose how many paydays to spread it over.

Bad news always comes with something you can do about it. And there are no streaks, scores or badges.

Paid by the job, not the week?

A deposit screen with sample figures, Thursday, February 12. $890 landed. Here's its share. The same rate as every deposit, whatever the size. One tap and it's done. Bills take a share of every deposit, worked out from your floor, so even a floor month covers them. Buttons: Looks right; Change something first.

Nabbins works from deposits instead of paydays. Tell it what a bad month brings in. Then every deposit takes the same share for your bills, whatever its size.

How it works when pay isn't regular

What it can't see, it says.

Nabbins can miss something. Here's where, and what happens then.

Bills it hasn't found
It reads 90 days of your history to find bills that repeat. Then it asks about the ones that come less often, like insurance or a yearly renewal.
A charge that starts repeating
It asks whether that's a bill. It never adds one without asking.
Something it missed
Add a bill or a charge yourself and it counts right away.
Its own books
At the end of each period, it checks itself against your bank. It never quietly changes your numbers to match.

Short answers.

$12.99 a month is a lot when money's tight.

It's the planned price for one plan, and we'd rather you know it now. We'll confirm the price before launch.

Where it falls short

If $12.99 is a big share of what you have each payday, this probably isn't the right app for you. We'd rather say so up front.

Do I have to connect my bank?

Yes. Nabbins works through a read-only connection: it's how it finds your bills, counts pending charges and knows when your pay lands. It can't move a dollar, and you can disconnect whenever you like.

Where it falls short

There's no version without a bank connection. If that's a dealbreaker, Nabbins isn't the app for you.

Is my data safe with you?

Nabbins can only read your accounts. It never moves or holds money. You can export all your data, or delete all of it, yourself, without contacting anyone.

Where it falls short

We won't claim certifications we don't have. Your data does pass through the companies that make the app work, like our connection provider and our hosting. The privacy policy names every one.

Does it work with how I'm paid?

Yes, if you're paid weekly, every two weeks or twice a month: your number always runs to your next payday. If your pay isn't regular, Nabbins plans on a bad month instead of a payday.

How it works when pay isn't regular

Where it falls short

It plans around one main income, and it doesn't adjust for seasons yet.

Does Nabbins move or hold my money?

No. Your bills leave your bank the way they always have. For each bill it knows about, Nabbins keeps its share out of your number.

It never holds money or opens an account for it. What it sets aside is bookkeeping in the app, and your money stays in your bank.

It never lends either: no advances, no early pay, no overdraft cover.

Who isn't it for?

Couples sharing one budget, people whose pay comes from benefits, and anyone who wants bookkeeping, tax filing or investing. Nabbins isn't built for those.

Nabbins doesn't give investment, tax or debt advice. It tells you what happened and what you can do about it.

Where it falls short

There's no import: you start from what your bank shows.

Hear when it's ready.
